Crochet Challenge!! Day 12: Favorite Yarn Shop

My favorite exclusively yarn shop would have to be Woolbearers. It has a wonderful vibe and they specialize in hand painted yarn. They also have fun, quirky classes like "knitting and yoga". I don't go there very often because it's a little out of my price range. But not as expensive as some shops and for the quality product that have, I have never been less than thrilled with any thing I got there. And they sell spinning supplies

Usually I buy my yarn at Ac Moore, just because of the price and the fact that they always have at least a 40% coupon and they carry my favorite yarn :)

Crochet Challenge!! Day 11: Do You Have A Shop?

I have a shop, but it isn't active at the moment. Its on Etsy and called Truemae crochet. I had patterns listed for sale, but its now inactive. Here is the link to that if you want to see the shop anyway

I do have a slightly active Facebook page for mylifewithyarn and any things for sale would go up there first. Its also where post everything from the blog and other fun things, Here is a link to that if you want to check that out.

Crochet Challenge!! Day 10: Yellow

Yellow is my favorite color, but I've only made two projects that I can think of that are yellow. The first is a duck that I made for my dad, because he loves rubber ducks and collects them. The picture below is a link to a full post just about that.

The second project that I could think of was a super hero doll I made called " the yarn bomber" a crocheting super hero. Yellow is fun to crochet with, but not many things lend themselves to being yellow. Both of the pictures below will link you to a full post about the yarn bomber.

Crochet Challenge!! Day 9: Least Favorite Yarn

My least favorite yarn definitely has to be anything fuzzy or stringy, especially the stuff from the dollar store. It makes crocheting anything super hard and usually just results in me making a huge knot.

Before I ever tried fuzzy yarn I would see it and get excited and dream of what I could do with it, but after trying it a couple times it's a nightmare.

They do say it can be easier when you add and extra guide string, but I still prefer to avoid the stuff all together.

Crochet Challenge!! Day 8: Favorite Yarn

My favorite yarn to use is definetly Red Heart Super Saver Economy. As you can probably tell the price is definetly a factor. It also has sooooooo many colors. It is a little rough but there are ways of softening it after the project is finished. I would be hard pressed to find more than 2 projects I have ever made that aren't Super Saver.

Look at all the colors!!!!

Crochet Challenge!! Day 7: Orange

Orange is one of my favorite colors to crochet with and I have many shades of it. Here are a few of the projects I have made that are orange. It is my go to color if I have an idea of what I want to make or try, but have no specific color needed. =) I've made a lot of random orange swatches and shapes this way.

Ps: Cristina I am excited to see what you come up with for pink day :) I know it's ur favorite

Crochet Challenge!! Day 6: Least Favorite Hook Size

Today's theme is least favorite crochet hook. My least favorite hook size is a S hook, just because I have not had much excuse to use it. It is the largest hook that I have and I think the largest hook that they sell. Usually if I am doing anything that large I will just finger crochet.

I don't think I've ever actually had a use for this hook, but it is neat to have and show to people.
