Crochet Cactus #2
I just completed another cactus and I think this one came out more realistic and cuter than the first one =) This one includes a blue flower with light blue details and yellow filaments. The person who requested the pot provided the terracotta pot which she had painted gold.

Crochet Cactus
I made this cute little cactus last night. It didn't go exactly as I planned, but i think it came out ok overall. I just made a basic bulb shape and then pushed in 4 places and sewed it into shape. I made a pom pom from pink and yellow using a pompom maker and then just tied that to the top. I sewed the cactus to the brown felt and then stuffed the felt and placed it in the pot. I then added stitches to each of the four outer edges, which I think adds a prickly look to it.

Crochet Challenge!! Day 18: WIPS #2
This is the second day of the challenge with the theme "Work in Progress". The project that I am currently working on is a baby blanket for my future nephew, who is due in a couple months. I started this blanket before we knew the gender so I chose a very gender neutral color and idea. It is a bee hive blanket. And will have tiny little bees flying all around it when I'm done.

Crochet Challenge!! Day 10: Yellow
Yellow is my favorite color, but I've only made two projects that I can think of that are yellow. The first is a duck that I made for my dad, because he loves rubber ducks and collects them. The picture below is a link to a full post just about that.
The second project that I could think of was a super hero doll I made called " the yarn bomber" a crocheting super hero. Yellow is fun to crochet with, but not many things lend themselves to being yellow. Both of the pictures below will link you to a full post about the yarn bomber.
