My sister's birthday was this past week and I live relatively far away. So I mailed her a birthday in a box. It was just a plain cardboard box on the outside and I filled it with confetti and candy and blown up balloons.The best thing about the balloons is that they add a lot of joy and take up a lot of space without weighting too much which makes the shipping a lot less. To ship this whole 13"x 11"x 9" box only cost me 5 bucks.
I had several good quality happy birthday balloons around so they didn't cost me much and I also had some random candy from a birthday party bag that I went to the week before. So all I had to do was buy a bulk pack of fun sized twix, which is one of her favorite candy bars. The confetti was just some shredded construction paper.
