So this is a project that was a long time coming. I started it about 2 years ago for my boyfriend, whom I'm still with. He had seen it so he knew he was getting it and has been pretty insistent. It took me forever to finish it because sewing really isn't my thing. Finally finishing it made me feel really good. Inside is a red bean bag which I covered in orange cloth, then I sewed the legs and filled them with polyfil. I then used a shape to draw on the eyes and smile.

AC moore Haul with a friend
So my friend wanted a a pair of wrist warmers with a design in them so we went to buy yarn. My rule is that if you buy the yarn for the project you only owe me the time I spend. So she bought her two colors and then to "pay me" she bought me a thing of yarn also =).
These are the two colors my friends picked and they are "Red Heart Shimmer" Royal and Black. They are possibly the softest yarn I have ever touched and the shimmer is really beautiful. I am exstemely excited to work with them =)
And then for me my friend got the yarn you see above. I know it's super saver, but I don't have it here with me right now so I can't remember the name of the color. I used the yarn already for the purple trebles. You can go there and look at them if you want to see what it looks like when worked.
(I now know the color is dark orchid)

Purple Hair
Trebles(Star Trek reference) or Pom Poms with eyes
My Grandmother taught me many years ago how to make pom poms. Unfortunetly I forgot how and just recently I watched a couple of YouTube videos to refresh my memory. I've been thinking for a while that if I was ever able to make a pom pom again I would put eyes on it so guess what I did last week =) I made in total 4 trebles 2 little purple ones, one big purple one, and the original big grey one.
All I needed was any piece of cardboard, scissors, the color yarn I want, and safety eyes (I used 24mm for my 2 bigger trebles/pom poms). After I had made the pom poms I simply cut a long length of string that can tie around the pom pom and some, then closed the safety eyes and tied them to the string them positioned them and tied the sting around the pom pom. Then you can just move the yarn ends that got caught under the other string and then you have a treble =)
This is a picture of the large purple treble with her new owner, a friend of mine from the play.
